What is your teaching style?

My organization helps set the stage for my teaching with learning objectives, 评估准则, and structured course shells.  I always want my classes to be a safe place to ask questions. Because I highly value feedback and the learning that comes from another person’s perspective, I want to let students know what they are doing well and provide students with additional information to facilitate their learning in a timely manner.

Why do you do what you do?

Throughout my years practicing physical therapy, I have found fulfillment in watching the children I serve grow and learn. I hope to share this love and respect for the profession with my students as they develop into clinicians. Because physical therapy is constantly evolving with new research, I want to model being a life-long learner and instill a sense of curiosity in my students.

How do you make learning engaging?

With my extensive pediatric background and personal experiences, I have examples to share to bring real life situation into the classroom. I use a variety of methods to teach including lecture, hands-on practice, case studies, and games.

What should students know about you?

I grew up in North Carolina and will always be a Carolina fan. 高跟鞋走!
